Balaj is only 7.

Since 9th March 2007 he has not been able to go to school.

He was detained in the house along with his family. There are barricades and hundreds of policemen, Elite force personnel posted outside his house.

He needs physio-therapy regularly but he has not been given any treatment since November 3, 2007.

A vindictative bully is punishing his father and in the process this little boy too.

People have taken their sweet revenge from this vindictative bully and given their verdict. They have rejected this bully. When will Bush, Brown, the Army and the establishment show him the door?

When will Balaj see Justice????

When will he see his honourable father reinstated as the Chief Justice of Pakistan???

The above text is repeated verbatim from an email I received from the Emergency List from Fauzia Minallah civil society activist and wife of the leading lawyer Athar Minallah. Her words are my words and yours too for she says it all so well, but I am hopeful that a new dawn will soon break for Pakistan thanks to the sacrifice of the Chief Justice and his brother judges and the lawyers movement. Above all I pray for and salute Balaj and his entire family who are the true sons and daughters of the Quaid.

So Chief Saab and wife, Arsalan, Commander Pinky Palwasha, Ifra and Superman Balaj you will probably never see this but I want to place on record from me that the soil of Pakistan salutes your sacrifice today and for all time. We are so proud of you all and that day is near when you will all be free.
